The third edition of International Digital Signage Trends Conference 2012 was finished on the 10th of OCtober this year in Warsaw. Over 300 people interested in subject of digital marketing communications were taking part in this event. During the two-dyas lasting forum participants were able not only to listen to a lectures on Polish and global digital signage market, but also to take part in Digital Signage Expo and Content Day workshops.

The substantial patronage over the enterprise – which was organized by 4D Media Relations Agency – took trade society The Polish Digital Signage Association which for the first time presented the report of the Polish DS market and the current status of the research and standardization of the advertising market.

This year's edition of DST, which PDSA covered the contents patronage, was full of interesting initiatives. Members of the PDSA presented the state of the industry DS important reports concerning digital communications and advertising, including the report on DS media advertising networks in Poland, project and installation standards (so-called list of best practices), content and market research with participation of research institutions. During the conference there was the final of the second edition of Polish Digital Signage Association Awards 2012. Works were evaluated in several categories, including the best content, the best DS campaign, the best implementation of the DS (DS reference system), and innovative digital signage solution. Nominated works were presented during the entire duration of the conference and during the evening ceremony an international jury awarded seven prestigious prizes. During the conference there were also interesting workshops Content Day, which attracted large numbers of creators and developers of multimedia DS content. The conference was organized by a Krakow based 4D media relations agency, which once again showed a maximum competence and professionalism in the preparation and production of the third edition of DST - Maciej Dziadowiec, Secretary General of the PDSA

34 lectures were given during DST 2012. Many case studies were presented from all over the world. Amog the invited speakers from abroad were: Dirk Hülsermann (President of OVAB Europe), Brad Vrabete (Platform Architect, Intel) and Bogdan Karpovic (Co-founder of Gluk Media from Lithuania). Great interest of participants attracted Content Day, led by Paweł Noga - Vice President of the PDSA and Member of the Board of DDS Poland. This year's panel was replaced by discussion panel to allow participants to summarize and systematize groups, categories and types of content that they face in reality. Also tried to get the answer to the question: what is the language of the Digital Signage and if everyone in the industry speaks the same language.

Lectures and workshops were also the background for many successfull business discussions, as the conference has attracted both major players in Poland DS market, and many companies and institutions interested in this form of communication with the customers.

During the two days conference simultaneously with the lectures was also held DST EXPO 2012. In the two exhibition halls on an area of over 400 m2 were presented companies that create, produce, implement and manage hardware, software and and other solutions for DS market.

In each edition of DST, we try to strengthen the image of NEC Display Solutions as a leader in Digital Signage market. This year, in addition to premiere presentation of new public displays and projectors, we presented other solutions, among them Vukunet Platform, which enables reservations and the sale of advertising on DS media, including the delivery of content. The platform began to operate successfully in several countries of Western Europe, attracted a lot of interest, especially because of its pan-European reach. The FieldAnalyst, the biometric customer count system, surprised participants in its functionality and accuracy of the measurement.
I think that this edition of the DST was very successful, especially in terms of content. Speakers from several countries gave the audience a lot of interesting information and discussion panels also provide practical knowledge through the eyes of users and DS systems integrators. Once again, it was clear that the idea of DST successfully fits into the landscape of the Polish DS market and is an important event in the industry.

We are pleased to participate in the conference and EXPO. The organization was on high level. All the encountered problems were quickly resolved by the organizer. To be honest this is the only such event in Poland and the Digital Signage industry is growing quite dynamically in our country. MAGIT took part in the conference DST for the third time. This year, the company presented a digital signage installation which is a collage consisting of nine 46-inch public displays. Special content was created for the installation consisted of the presentation of our realized projects including content for ING Bank and dedicated applications. In addition, we presented our latest multimedia projects and info-kiosks, were also presented the works of our partners – painters form Wroclaw. Entire presentation was controlled with YCD Multimedia software, which we are an authorized distributor on Polish market. During the Conference of Digital Signage Trends took place an award ceremony of the the annual competition PDSA Awards. The aim of the competition was to award the best works in several categories of products and services used in the Digital Signage industry in Poland and the promotion of the conference DST 2012. Polish Digital Signage Association awarded the following prizes:

- The best DS advertising spot - Diggity campaign for ING Bank Śląski network
- The best interactive DS content DS - Marshal's Office of the Pomorskie Voivodeship for Integrated Tourist Desk System of Pomorskie Voivodeship
- The best DS non-advertising content - Apella for information content in display network in Kasa Stefczyka outposts
- The best DS content schedule - Benefit Multimedia for Benefit TV
- The best implementation of the DS in 2012 (reference installation) - Oriflame Cosmetics for Digital Signage installation
- Best Kiosk Design in 2012 - Magit for infoPOINT GO-01
- Best innovative DS solution (product) - Aduma for Kinetic MegaWall (first installation - Gallery Sky Tower in Wrocław)
